The Development of Air Transport

The Development of Air Transport

We present here it two agency models that have marked the ’60s and the ’70s. With time, these models, especially when in excellent condition, are becoming increasingly rare. Both display the Air France livery, well known for some, and reflect the strong rise of the national airline.

Despite the rare and small missing bits here and there, these models pass the ‘excellent condition’ test. Not only are they 50 years old on average, but their craftmanship (resin and decal) makes them particularly sensitive to impacts and UV.

Presenting these two pieces together, in the same scale, shows the evolution of the air transport approach during the decade between the conception of these two Boeing aircraft. The development of air transport is measured by the difference in size of these two models: next to the “Jumbo”, the 707 looks like a very small plane.
