This is a document from ONERA regarding tests conducted in 1953 on the release of a cabin as an alternative to the ejection seat. It is not specified for which aircraft this study was conducted, but it clearly pertained to cabins located at the front of the fuselage. The tests were carried out with a 1:1 scale model of a cabin attached under the wing of a Halifax aircraft. The study describes the tests and includes technical drawings, plans, and photos taken during the cabin releases in flight. The behavior of the released cabin is described and analyzed. A very interesting document!
