Here is a very beautiful wind tunnel model that takes us back to 1930, the year of study of this plane which will be produced in 1931.
The machine is perfectly identified, and the model evidently corresponds to the final stage of the study since it exactly represents the airplane that flew. It is the last production of the Schreck F.B.A. (Franco-British Aviation) company, whose workshops were located in France at Argenteuil.
This is a private amphibious seaplane named 'Scherck 310'. Its identification was facilitated by the name of the manufacturer and the machine number, which were painted at the time on the top of the fuselage ; the model also bears the reference 'S.E. 67' engraved under the hull. For more information about this seaplane, you can check the links (in French) at the bottom of this page.
The model is in very good condition considering its age - more than 90 years old - with very few missing parts. The landing gear is held in the raised position by two small wire pins; once these are removed, the gear lowers, but there is no locking system provided to hold it in this position, and therefore, it cannot hold the model.
The seaplane is represented at a 1/10 scale, giving it a wingspan of 120 cm (47.2") and a length of 76 cm (30").
