A Caravelle in memory of Air Inter

Air Inter planes crisscrossed the French skies for nearly 45 years, from 1954 to 1998. Many people flew on board them and remain nostalgic for this period and this airline. So here is a tribute to Air Inter with a wonderful aircraft and a livery from the late 60s and 70s.

This is a production of La Maquette d’Etude et d’Exposition d’Aubervilliers at 1/50 scale (63.5 cm / 25” long and 68 cm / 26.8” wingspan) whose original decoration in the colors of the manufacturer Sud Aviation was irrecoverable. This resin model from the end of the 1950’s was therefore restored for this tribute and to represent the first Caravelle to have flown under the colors of Air Inter in February 1967, a plane leased by Air France.

The model is offered with an element from the aircraft it represents: the identification plate which was on board the aircraft and which was naturally in the name of Air France, its owner!

The set combines two often distinct collecting domains: models and aircraft parts. The model can therefore be presented with or without this accessory whose support system (a simple groove) remains very discreet without the plate.
